Dental practice fit-out Hampshire and the South

Dental practice construction and fit-out for spaces where every detail has a purpose.

JSV supports dental practice fit-out, refurbishment and construction projects across Hampshire and the surrounding areas, working alongside clients, designers and specialist suppliers to deliver carefully resolved environments.

A clinical environment is also a working commercial space

Dental practices bring together patient experience, daily workflow, specialist equipment, building services, durable finishes and exacting practical requirements. The construction cannot be considered separately from the way the practice will operate.

JSV brings experience from commercial construction, high quality interiors and sensitive building work to this developing area of focus. The team can form part of a wider project group, coordinating its construction scope with the appointed dental designers, equipment suppliers and professional advisers.

Support for new practices and existing premises

The right construction route depends on the property, the condition of the building and whether the project involves a new practice, an expansion or the refurbishment of existing rooms.

  1. 01New dental practice fit-out

Construction and interior work to turn an agreed practice design into a finished environment, coordinated around the wider technical and equipment requirements.

  2. 02Practice refurbishment

Improvement of existing dental premises, whether the brief concerns selected areas or a more substantial reworking of the practice.

  3. 03Conversion and change of use

Building work associated with adapting a property for dental use, subject to the professional design, approvals and specialist requirements of the project.

  4. 04Sensitive and listed buildings

Careful construction and restoration where historic fabric, original details or the character of the building must be respected alongside its new use.

Built around the complete project team

Dental fit-out is rarely delivered by one party alone. The construction programme may need to align with design information, specialist equipment, mechanical and electrical work, approvals and installation sequences.

JSV focuses on the construction delivery while working with the relevant specialists to understand interfaces and dependencies. Responsibilities should be defined clearly at the outset so that the project team knows who is providing, coordinating and approving each element.

A new dental practice within a Grade II listed building

JSV completed sensitive ceiling and cornice restoration connected with the creation of a new dental practice in a Grade II listed property.

Following inspection, Southampton City Council’s Historic Environment Officer described the work as having been carried out sensitively and in accordance with conservation best practice. The feedback also recognised the standard of the completed work, the reinstatement of the room’s internal character and the communication maintained throughout.

The officer subsequently asked whether JSV’s details could be shared with other listed building owners looking for contractors with this type of specialist capability.

Can JSV work in a listed building?
JSV has completed sensitive restoration connected with a new dental practice in a Grade II listed property. Any future listed building work would be approached in line with the specific building, permissions, conservation requirements and professional guidance involved.

Where does JSV undertake dental projects?
JSV works across Hampshire and neighbouring areas and can consider suitable specialist projects further afield according to their scale, scope and programme.
